1. Information the public site may process
When you visit, hosting and security systems may process limited technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, request time, referring page, and security events. When you submit the pilot inquiry form, the business contact and workflow information you choose to provide is used to review and respond to that request.
2. How information is used
- Operate, secure, debug, and improve the website.
- Prevent abuse and investigate reliability or security incidents.
- Respond to business or pilot inquiries that a visitor intentionally submits.
- Meet legal obligations and enforce applicable agreements.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
The public site may use strictly necessary storage or similar technologies for security, session continuity, and core operation. Material analytics, advertising, or optional tracking practices will be disclosed before they are introduced where required.
4. Sharing and selling
MediNote does not sell personal information. Limited information may be processed by service providers that host, secure, or operate the site, or disclosed when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a properly governed business transaction.
5. Clinical and Epic data
The public website does not provide live Epic chart access. Any future processing of protected health information or EHR data requires a separately contracted, institution-approved deployment with appropriate authorization, access controls, audit, retention, security, and—where applicable—a Business Associate Agreement. Each Epic customer controls whether an application may connect to its environment.
6. Retention and security
Information is retained only as reasonably needed for the purposes described, legal obligations, security, or applicable agreements. Reasonable safeguards are used, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security. Do not send secrets, credentials, or sensitive clinical information through public channels.
7. Your choices and rights
You may choose not to provide optional information. Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or information about the use of personal data. A verified request may be submitted through the official business contact channel published by MediNote.
8. Scope and updates
This notice applies to the public MediNote website and is not a healthcare provider's Notice of Privacy Practices. Third-party sites have separate notices. We may update this notice as the site, services, or legal requirements change.
